Kathmandu: Tremors of earthquake felt in Kathmandu Valley, parts of eastern and central Nepal. ML 6.0 earthquake felt across various parts of Nepal early on Sunday. An earthquake measuring 6 Magnitude with the epicenter at Mattim Birta in Khotang occurred this morning. Tremors of the earthquake were felt across eastern and central Nepal.
According to National Earthquake Monitoring & Research Center (NEMRC), an earthquake measuring 6.0 Richter Scale rattled the Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country at 8:13 AM. It is said that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Martimbirta area of Khotang district.
The Khotang earthquake that rattled parts of Nepal has left a few houses destroyed. According to Pavitra Prakash Shah, Assistant Chief District Officer of District Administration Office Khotang, a house was destroyed in Sakela Rural Municipality in Khotang.
