Two killed in US school shooting, attacker 15-year-old

Kathmandu. A 15-year-old girl opened fire at a private Christian school in Wisconsin on Monday, killing a teacher and a student and injuring six students. Two of the injured are in critical condition.
According to Madison Police Chief Sean Barnes, the attacker’s name is Natalie Rupnow, also known as Samantha. She was a former student at the school. According to police, she committed suicide. Police recovered a handgun from her at the scene.
Police arrived at the scene at 11 am local time after receiving a report of the shooting through 911. The attacker was present on the school premises at the time of the incident. Regarding the incident, the police is still not clear about the attacker’s motive and the investigation is ongoing.

Barbara Wiers, the school’s director of communications, said the school conducted an active firearms assault training this year, and some of the measures used by teachers during the incident. The school did not have a permanent police officer.

According to Weirs, all classrooms at the school are automatically locked, and permission must be obtained through the main gate to enter the premises. She said that the students faced the difficult situation with “grim” and they remained calm even though they knew the incident was real.

Police Chief Barnes said that a second grade student first reported the shooting. The search for others involved in the incident is ongoing. Although the police said that the attack took place in private, further investigations are being conducted on the exact location of the incident (classroom or ‘hallway’). Agency
