Ukraine’s air force says it has shot down 27 combat drones launched by Russia during an overnight attack on the country.
According to a statement released on social networks, the Shahed-136 and Shahed-131 drones were intercepted in seven regions of Ukraine: Northern, Central, Southern, and Eastern Ukraine.
An air defense system was deployed in the Kiev region, but there were no casualties or damage in the area, according to the Kiev Regional Military Administration.
Regional Governor Sergei Lisak said two drones had been destroyed and infrastructure damaged in the central Dnipropetrovsk region.
