Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has responded that Kiev will lose the war against Russia if the US Congress does not authorize military aid to counter Moscow’s aggression.
Zelensky responded after Republicans in Congress blocked billions of dollars in military aid to Kiev for months. “We need to specifically tell Congress that if Congress doesn’t help Ukraine, Ukraine will lose the war,” he said in a video meeting of the Kyiv-organized fundraising platform United-24.
Zelensky said it would be difficult for Ukraine to survive without aid. He said that if Ukraine loses the war, other states will also be attacked.
Three people were killed in a Russian attack on the city of Gulyapol in the southern Zaporozhye region on Sunday, Kiev said. Ivan Fedorov, the head of that area, said on social media that two men and a woman died after being crushed by the debris of their house destroyed by Russian shells.
