Kathmandu — The Trump administration is preparing to issue travel bans for citizens of dozens of countries.
According to news agency Reuters, 41 countries, including Bhutan, are preparing to impose travel bans on the US. The countries have been divided into three groups. The first group includes ten countries. It includes Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Cuba and North Korea, among others. It is said that a complete ban will be imposed on their visas.
Similarly, the second group includes the names of five countries. It includes Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar and South Sudan. These countries will be partially suspended, which will affect tourist and student visas as well as immigrant visas.
Similarly, the third group includes a total of 26 countries. It includes countries such as Belarus, Pakistan, Turkmenistan. If the governments of these countries do not make efforts to address the deficiencies within 60 days, it is said that a partial ban on issuing visas to these countries will be imposed.
Citing a Trump administration official, the media report said the list is subject to change and is subject to approval by the US administration and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
