China today implemented a policy to allow visa-free entry for foreign tourists arriving through ports via all cruise ships on the coast.
According to the National Immigration Administration, tourist groups of two or more foreigners received by Chinese travel agencies can enter China without a visa through the ports of 13 Chinese cities including Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Sanya.
Tourists staying in China for 15 days can visit coastal provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as Beijing, the release said.
Similarly, seven cruise ports, Dalian, Lianyungang, Wenzhou, Zhoushan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Beihai, are designated as visa-free transit ports for nationals of 54 countries.
The move will facilitate the transit and departure of foreign passengers from the port through cruise ships under China’s visa-free transit policy.
