With India winning the World Cup, Rohit and Virat retired from T20 internationals

 

Kathmandu. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have retired from T20 internationals with India becoming the champions of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Both the star players said that there could not be a better opportunity to retire than this and said that they would give opportunities to new players.
Kohli, who made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in 2010, has the record of scoring 1,292 runs in the history of the T20 World Cup. He has played 125 T20 international matches for India. In which he scored 4,188 runs at an average of 48.69 and a strike rate of 137.04. He has 39 fifties and 1 century. He is the second player to score the most runs in this format.
Rohit scored 1220 runs after Virat in the history of T20 World Cup. He has played 159 T-20 International matches for India. In which he scored 4 thousand 231 runs at an average of 32.05 and a strike rate of 140.89. He has scored 5 centuries and 32 fifties during this period. He is the highest run scorer in T20 International Cricket.
