Bangladesh Army Chief leaves for 3-day visit to India

Bangladesh Army Chief General S M Shafiuddin left for India from Dhaka on a three day official visit on Wednesday. He is visiting India on the invitation of his Indian counterpart Chief of Army Staff (CAS) General Manoj Pande.

The Bangladesh Army Chief will review the passing out parade of the officer cadets in Chennai. During his visit, General Shafiuddin will also hold meetings with the Chiefs of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force and the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). He will also pay courtesy visits to the Defence Secretary and Foreign Secretary during his visit to India.

General S M Shafiuddin will hold discussions on a range of issues related to the bilateral relations between the armed forces of the two countries.

He will also visit important establishments of the Indian Army, said an Inter Services Press Relations (ISPR), Bangladesh press release on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Army Chief Shafiuddin will return to Bangladesh on 30th April.
