HADES AND PERSEPHONE! A poem by Monalisa Parida

HADES AND PERSEPHONE!

A poem by Monalisa Parida

Smoke me like one of your cigarettes,
Let your luscious lips rest on my skin.
Allow me to be the alcohol in your red wine,
Sip me and savor every drop of it,
Look at me with your dark brown eyes,
While I clutch your gorgeous golden tresses.
I don’t know
How to love in moderation
But my heart breathes a gentle intensity.
Let me no more be a dormant winter,
With this restless ache.
So find me, take me
As Hades did for her Persephone.
My fair skin waiting for you
To turn me into Spring
To bloom in shades of violet
Blushing pink and deep blue.
To make me celestial
Marked as if by Divine Artemis
As your mouth covers me
In crescent Moon.
With the colors of lost sunset,
I could paint a perfect poem.
On the cerulean sky of your mind,
If only I had access to you.
