79 killed in nightclub roof collapse in Dominican Republic

Kathmandu – At least 79 people have died after a roof collapsed at a nightclub in the Dominican Republic. The roof of the building collapsed during a music concert. 155 people were injured.

According to the police of the Dominican Republic, a search and rescue operation is still going on in the wreckage of the incident that happened after the roof of the Jetset nightclub in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic.

According to the police, the incident took place at 12:34 am on Tuesday morning during the performance of Dominican merengue singer Robbie Perez. Police said the roof of the building collapsed within seconds of the concert starting.
