8 dead in building collapse in Cairo

Kathmandu. According to Egypt’s Ministry of Health, eight people died and three were injured when a six-storey residential building collapsed in Cairo on Tuesday.
The accident took place in Abbasiya located in Al-Wayli district of the Egyptian capital. Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber Khalil ordered the evacuation of nearby buildings as a precaution. An engineering committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the collapse.
In addition, the Ministry of Social Solidarity has prepared a list to provide immediate financial assistance to the victims.
