Global Village marked the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad with spectacular evening celebrations, headlined by the grand Emirati operetta “From the Desert to the Stars” on the main stage. The production brought together music, poetry and dance to tell a story inspired by Emirati heritage and unity, offering guests an immersive journey celebrating the nation’s enduring pride and rich culture. Traditional Yola and Harbiya performances took place throughout the park, showcasing the rhythmic beauty of Emirati culture.
The performances led audiences through the UAE’s story, highlighting its formation, the significance of its national flag, and the growth of its people and culture. The celebrations were enhanced by fireworks and UAE-themed drone displays that lit up the sky above Global Village in the colours of the national flag. Festive Eid Al Etihad decorations brightened the park, with its gates, landmarks and streets illuminated in national colours. Ten cultural installations showcasing Emirati traditions were placed throughout the venue, providing distinctive photo opportunities and reflecting the country’s rich heritage.
Global Village is the region’s premier multicultural family destination for entertainment, dining, shopping and attractions. Part of Dubai Holding Entertainment, it continues to grow in popularity and maintain a deep connection with its guests, reinforcing its status as the region’s number one entertainment and cultural hub. Since opening its gates in 1997, Global Village has welcomed over 100 million guests, with Season 29 alone setting a new record by attracting 10.5 million visitors. Building on this success, Global Village Season 30 offers a spectacular experienc,e hosting 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures, with more than 3,500 shopping outlets and over 250 dining options. The park is home to 450 world-class performers featuring in 40,500 shows.
