The School Building of Diding Basic School, Chichila Rural Municipality-3, Sankhuwasabha, Koshi Province, built with Government of India’s financial assistance was jointly inaugurated today by Mr. Basist Nandan, First Secretary in the Embassy of India in Kathmandu  and Mr. Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Chairman of Chichila Rural Municipality.

The construction of the school building and allied facilities was undertaken as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), which was implemented through the Chichila Rural Municipality, Sankhuwasabha.

Shree Diding Basic School was established in 1962 in Sankhuwasabha District, and has classes from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to the 5th Grade.

Chairman, Chichila Rural Municipality, School Management and other stakeholders appreciated the development support being provided by the Government of India. They expressed confidence that the new infrastructure would lead to an improved environment for learning and strengthen the education sector in the region.

As close neighbours, India and Nepal are engaged in wide-ranging and multi-sectoral cooperation. The implementation of HICDPs reflects the continued support of the Government of India in bolstering the developmental efforts of the Government of Nepal, apart from augmenting infrastructure  in priority sectors at the grassroots level.
