Nepal reports 836 cases as rapid antigen tests added to daily infection tallies

Kathmandu: Nepal on Saturday reported 666 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 972,632.

Similarly, 345 people tested positive in a total of 2,394 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.As of Saturday, 5,334,149 PCR and 1,013,170 antigen tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 4,260 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

Four people died from Covid-19-related infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,882 since the pandemic began.
