The Nepali national cricket team has been formally sent off for the ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) organized a farewell program on Saturday to wish the team success ahead of the global tournament. The squad will depart on Sunday, as it is set to play warm-up series in Sri Lanka and India prior to the World Cup. Speaking at the farewell event, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka extended best wishes to the players and the support staff. “This is a tournament watched by the entire world, and Nepal has been performing well,” Khadka said. “Best wishes to the players and the management team. We also hope Nepali supporters in India will stand with the team.”
