IIT Kharagpur signs MoU with eKalakaar to jointly offer a distinctive interdisciplinary course titled “Creative Leadership”, firmly grounded in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
Meticulously designed through extensive research and structured consultations with industry leaders, students, IKS scholars, and traditional performing artists, the course ensures strong academic rigour, industry relevance, and cultural authenticity.
This 30-hour course, to be offered under the Institute’s IKS Department, will be delivered by leading industry professionals and IKS experts. Moving beyond conventional classroom pedagogy and entertainment-driven approaches, the programme uniquely leverages rare and traditional Indian performing arts as an experiential medium to foster creativity, leadership, innovation, emotional intelligence, and real-world readiness among students.
Key Highlights:
1) Leadership development through Indian Knowledge Systems and performing arts
2) Focus on creativity, emotional intelligence, and industry-aligned competencies
3) Initial launch as a summer course, with plans to evolve into a regular academic offering
4) Strong integration of culture, leadership, and contemporary industry needs
This collaboration marks a significant step toward integrating India’s ancient wisdom with modern leadership education, reinforcing IIT Kharagpur’s commitment to holistic, future-ready learning for students and industry alike.
