Kathmandu : The Investment Board Nepal has assigned an Under-Secretary at the Board, Manoj Regmi, as a focal person for economic diplomacy. The assignment is for facilitating and promoting the foreign investment.

Board’s Joint-Secretary Hem Raj Tamang shared that the focal person would facilitate the activities of bringing in investment to country by coordinating with foreign ministry and representatives of Diplomatic Mission of Nepal abroad.

Similarly, the focal person would play a role in informing international community about investment in Nepal, exchanging information and resolving problems facing the investment process.

Earlier, in a meeting organised by the Foreign Ministry in collaboration with Board, representatives of Diplomatic Mission of Nepal aboard had expressed the view that further effective roles could be played in promotion and facilitation of investment if there a focal person related to investment was assigned.
