The Nepali film ‘Ramita Ko Pirati’ is set to hit cinemas in India, expanding its audience beyond Nepal.
Infinity Event and Entertainment, known for organizing concerts and fashion events in India, will release the film in Indian theaters starting the second week of March.
The company, which is collaborating with the film’s producers, said it believes the story and presentation of ‘Ramita Ko Pirati’ will resonate with young Indian audiences.
A recent agreement between producer Sagar Lamsal and Infinity finalized the film’s Indian release.
The film explores modern young love, heartbreak, and self-reflection in an engaging narrative.
Already in its second week in Nepal, ‘Ramita Ko Pirati’ has received positive feedback from youth viewers for its realistic storytelling and message about self-love.
Infinity stated that the film captures the mindset of today’s youth and is confident it will connect with Indian audiences as well.
With a mission to share South Asian stories globally, the company is focused on making ‘Ramita Ko Pirati’ accessible to as many viewers as possible, helping Nepali cinema expand beyond national borders.
An Infinity representative said, “‘Ramita Ko Pirati’ portrays young love authentically, and Indian audiences will easily relate. A good film deserves to reach a wide audience, and we are committed to bringing this film to as many viewers as we can.”
Discussions with Indian theaters are ongoing, and the company will soon announce the exact locations and dates for the release.
Directed by Sudipta, the film stars Ana Sharma in the lead role, with performances by Vinay Shrestha, Dhiraj Magar, Sameer Shrestha, and Renu Yogi, among others.
