The Election Commission Nepal has completed vote counting for the 2025 Nepal federal parliament election and finalised the allocation of seats under the proportional representation (PR) system.

According to the commission, six political parties that crossed the three percent threshold have been recognised as national parties and allotted PR seats in the House of Representatives of Nepal.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party secured the highest number with 57 seats, followed by the Nepali Congress with 20 seats.

The CPN-UML party obtained 16 seats, while the Communist Party of Nepal secured 9 seats.

Similarly, the Shram Sanskriti Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 4 seats each under the PR system.

The Election Commission has asked the concerned political parties to submit the names of their PR candidates within three days based on the allocated seat numbers.
