Kathmandu: The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday stayed the government’s decision to suspend Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari. The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a short-term interim order not to implement the government’s decision to suspend Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.

Adhikari faced an automatic suspension on April 8 following govt decision to form a committee to probe governor Adhikari, charging him of leaking sensitive info.  It should be noted that Maha Prasad Adhikari, who was suspended as governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, has filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court demanding his reinstatement.
