Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said the government is working to strengthen good governance in order to remove Nepal from the FATF Grey List. Speaking during a meeting with representatives of the Stock Broker Association Nepal on Monday, Wagle said the government is committed to governance reforms required to exit the grey list. He said some investigations currently underway are older cases that are now reaching their final stages, stressing that those involved in wrongdoing will not receive impunity, while also assuring that actions will not be driven by selective retaliation. Wagle also said the government and the Rastriya Swatantra Party are not opposed to the private sector, describing the administration as private-sector friendly.
