Kathmandu : The private sector has urged the government to create investment-friendly environment.

Issuing a joint press statement today, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Confederation of Nepalese Industries and Nepal Chamber of Commerce requested the government for ensuring the security and promotion of the private sector.

The three organisations stressed that activities discouraging the private sector, which has made a notable contribution in the development of country’s economy and employment creation, should not been carried out. They also stated that economic stability and increase in investment was expected with the formation of a new government.

Activities demoralizing the investors would affect revenue collection, employment generation, supply system and infrastructure development as well as push the banking sector and overall economic system towards a crisis, reads the statement.
