According to the government media, 6 people died after being buried in a gold mine in Zimbabwe and 15 people were rescued when the way out was closed.
More than 30 workers were trapped when part of the Bay Horse gold mine in Chegutu, 100 kilometers west of the capital Harare, collapsed. It is said that thirteen miners managed to escape.
Efforts are being made to rescue those trapped in the mine. It is not known what caused the part of the mine to collapse and the details of the accident have not been received. The Zimbabwe Association of Mines said it would go to the scene to find out the cause.
