A Poem Composed by Ranjit K Sahu
Slithering over naked tree covers
Night shall shed her soft tears on browning hay
Over the course of many quiet hours
White washing the paths up to the doorway
Fumbling through the mind’s anile pages
In the emptiness of the winter’s spell
Little sparks of joy flash out images
Light up past romance and stories retell
Each story that has warmed the winter gone
Descends into the snow filled white courtyard
Dazzling emotions, with love redrawn
Amongst scenes that rival picture post card
Yearnings of heart spill on the snow cold
Searching for footsteps that never get old
