Kathmandu – The Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to keep 1,950 sets of garbage collection bins separately for the management of perishable and non-perishable waste in public places.
According to the environment department of the metropolis, there are two bins in one set. Out of this, the green bin is for decomposable waste and the red bin is for non-decomposable waste management. Ravinman Shrestha, head of the environment management department, informed that according to the plan to separate the waste at the place of production and manage it separately according to nature, bins are going to be kept. According to Shrestha, all the bins have been brought to the department and are ready to be distributed according to the demands and needs of the ward.
