Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs.12 lakhs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He has been fined for slow over rate (balling after the stipulated time) during the game against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday night.
Shubman Gilpachi Pant is the second captain of Gujarat Titans to be penalized due to slow over rate in the ongoing IPL. Last Tuesday, Gil was penalized against Chennai. Pant scored a half-century and gave Delhi the first win by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs.
Batting first in the toss at Visakhapatnam, scored 191 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Rishabh Pant scored 51 runs including 32 sixes, 4 fours and 3 sixes. Pant returned to IPL cricket after a car accident in 2022. Pant’s rhythm is a very good sign for Indian cricket.
