Kathmandu. At least 10 civilians have been killed in an attack by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), local sources have said.
According to local civil society, ADF rebels infiltrated Mangodomu, a village located in Beni region of North Kivu Province. The area which is under military and police administration from 2021.
The chairman of the civil society condemned the infiltration of the rebels. He accused the insurgents of killing and looting civilians.
Since May 2021, these two provinces are under siege. Where civilian officials have been replaced by army and police officers.
