Bhaktapur. The government is going to rebuild the Durbar area of Bhaktapur which was damaged by the Gorkha earthquake of 2072. After it was ensured in the budget of the next financial year 2080/081, the reconstruction was ensured. With the mention in the budget to continue the reconstruction of the Bhaktapur Palace area, which was damaged due to the earthquake, the reconstruction of the Palace area, which is listed in the World Heritage List, will start.
Similarly, the capacity of Shahid Dharmabhakta National Human Organ Transplantation Center at Dudhpati in Bhaktapur will be developed. The hospital is expecting that the capacity development of this hospital, which is facing a problem due to lack of buildings, will help in the expansion of the hospital’s services and the facilitation of patient services. The budget has been allocated for the necessary infrastructure development and equipment of the Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
Similarly, among the big projects mentioned in the budget, Bhaktapur has the largest number of plans in the water and sanitation sector. Four plans are covered under this heading. For the sustainable management of drinking water needs of Kathmandu Valley, feasibility study of water supply from Bhaktapur’s Mahadev River is to be completed
