15 killed in attack on residential building in Russia

At least 15 people were killed when a 10-story residential apartment building partially collapsed in the southwestern Russian city of Belgorod on Monday, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said, citing a statement by the Russian Emergencies Ministry. According to the news, the building collapsed after the ‘Ukraine attack’ on Sunday.
Earlier on Sunday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched heavy shelling in Belgorod and its suburbs. A part of the building collapsed when fragments of the dropped Tochka-U tactical missile damaged the residential building, the source said.
Similarly, the spokesman of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the search and rescue operation was completed in the partially destroyed residential apartment building in the southwestern city of Belgorod. According to him, 17 people were rescued from the rubble and 15 bodies were recovered from under the rubble.
Earlier, the Emergency Ministry said that 12 people including two children were rescued from the scene. A video posted on Telegram by Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov shows the building collapsing with a large hole.
Condemning the “massive bombing” by Ukrainian forces, he followed live fire on a residential building. He said that the entire entrance from the tenth floor to the ground floor had collapsed.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on social media that fragments of a Tochka-U TRC missile fell on the building. Al Jazeera also reported that several rockets were shot down by air defenses in the Belgorod region and two drones were destroyed in separate incidents.
