A 12-member jury in New York found former US President Donald Trump guilty of all 34 charges. According to CNN, the jury found Trump guilty after two days of trial.
For the first time in the history of the United States, a criminal indictment was filed against former president Trump. Before the 2016 presidential election, Trump was accused of having a sexual relationship with porn star Stormy Daniels and illegally giving her money to silence him. Similarly, there were allegations that Trump tampered with his business record documents, vandalized the Parliament building to influence the presidential election vote results, etc. The jury convicted Trump on all 34 charges.
Now Judge Juan Mercen will sentence Trump on July 11. Trump has been denying the accusations against him. Leaving the courtroom, Trump claimed he had done nothing wrong and was innocent. He also claimed that he will fight to the end and win. The National Convention of the Republican Party is starting on 15 July. It is preparing to officially announce the name of Trump as the presidential candidate on behalf of the party.
