National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 293 seats in Lok Sabha elections. NDA has already selected Modi as the leader of the alliance. With the swearing-in on Saturday, Modi will take over as Prime Minister for a third term.

It is said that foreign guests will also be invited to make the oath-taking ceremony grand. Amar Ujala has published news saying that the top leaders of countries including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Mauritius can come. Formal invitations are scheduled to be sent on Thursday. Earlier, 75 leaders from all over the world congratulated Modi.

According to diplomatic sources, Prime Minister Modi had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina. It is also said that Modi invited Hasina to attend his swearing in ceremony and she accepted.

At the same time, Modi also had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachand’. According to sources, the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Chhiring Tobge, and the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravinda Jagannath, will be invited.

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe also called Narendra Modi and congratulated him on his victory, his media division office said. During the conversation, Prime Minister Modi invited the President to his oath-taking ceremony, Wickremesinghe accepted the invitation.

In 2014, when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister for the first time, the leaders of the seven countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) were invited to the swearing-in ceremony. At the same time, after becoming the Prime Minister for the second time in 2019, the leaders of the BIMSTEC countries were invited to his swearing-in ceremony.

American President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Russian President Vladimir Putin have congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his victory. Putin congratulated Modi on the phone and called him a global leader. On the other hand, many world leaders including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni have expressed their desire to work together with Modi. America has praised the Indian government and the people of the country for the successful elections.
