Attention of the government to facilitate the tourists coming to visit the Everest region

Kathmandu – MP Manveer Rai has drawn the attention of the government to facilitate the tourists visiting Everest region.

“Tourists from around the world come to visit Everest. But the only airport, Lukla, is unable to handle the pressure. Last year’s budget did not pay attention to expanding the airport. More work should be done for the development of Everest region,” he said.

During the special session of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he drew the attention of the government to generate more electricity from the Dudhkoshi River.

Member of Parliament Rupa Soshi Chaudhary stated that the goal was not achieved in the law-making process by the Parliament and stressed that everyone should be responsible for it. Member of Parliament Nisha Dangi suggested not to announce big plans without ensuring the resources in the context of announcing unlimited plans despite the limited budget size.

MP Anisha Nepali mentioned that the budget has been allocated time and again to connect local roads with the national highway but the implementation is delayed.
