All schools in Bangladesh are closed due to the heat: More than 30 million students are affected

KATHMANDU – All schools in Bangladesh have been closed for three days following extreme heat. All schools have been closed until April 27 after the maximum temperature in most parts exceeded 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

According to BBC, 33.3 million children are affected by the heat. This is the second time Bangladesh has closed schools because of extreme heat.
This is the fourth time this year that meteorologists in Bangladesh have issued a heat warning. Bangladesh’s bottom is at risk due to the impact of climate crisis.

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a rise in sea level of 30 to 45 cm could displace more than 35 million people in coastal districts. This is a quarter of the country’s total population.
