Tesla CEO Musk withdraws OpenAI lawsuit

Washington, DC. Elon Musk, the CEO of the American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, has withdrawn the case filed against OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT. Musk sued OpenAI in February, saying the company had strayed from its original goal of developing artificial intelligence (AI) to benefit humanity.
Musk alleged that the company had compromised its goal of creating AI systems for the benefit of humans by focusing only on making money. The lawsuit was filed specifically against OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman.

It was alleged that instead of being an open-source unit, the company has turned into a closed-source subsidiary of Microsoft. According to a filing filed in San Francisco Superior Court, Musk’s lawyer asked the California state court to dismiss the case on Monday.

But the reason for withdrawing the case has not been made public yet. Did Musk withdraw the case without prejudice? Only time will tell why he will file a case against the company again. Musk has long opposed OpenAI. Musk was the founder of the start-up company. Microsoft invested billions of dollars in OpenAI after Musk’s departure.
