Israeli military confirms senior Hamas commander killed in Gaza

 

Kathmandu. The Israeli army has confirmed that a Hamas commander was killed in an airstrike in the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday.

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrai said that the military plane killed Ahmed al-Sawarka, who led the sniper operation in the Beit Hanoun area and played a role in terrorist activities against Israeli forces. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday that IDF troops continued to operate in the central Gaza Strip and southern Rafah region.

Health authorities in Gaza have said that the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli military operations has reached 37,431 and 85,653 injured as of Thursday.
