Chief Justice of Bangladesh Obedul Hasan has resigned. Hasan resigned after protesters surrounded the Supreme Court premises demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice.
Hundreds of protestors reached the Supreme Court premises since Saturday morning and shouted slogans demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice. Speaking to reporters present at the court premises before the ultimatum, Hasan announced that he was stepping down.
