Washington DC. In the US, the newly elected President Donald Trump has threatened to drop bombs on some of the members he has appointed to his next cabinet.
The FBI has also said they are aware of the bomb threat.
It is said that threats have been made to at least 9 people who are in charge of ministries including defense, housing, agriculture and labor in Trump’s council of ministers. The US ambassador to the United Nations is also said to be on the list.
Police are investigating the cases. The threats are said to have come on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Caroline Leavitt, spokeswoman for Trump’s transition team, said that several people nominated by Trump to the Cabinet have received violent, un-American threats against them and their relatives. She also said that law enforcement agencies have immediately taken the matter into their own hands to ensure the safety of the nominees.
Neither Leavitt nor the FBI have released the names of the people who received the threats. Alice Stefanik, Trump’s nominee for UN ambassador, said that her family had received bomb threats. Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegstha also confirmed the threat.
There were two attempts on Trump’s life during the presidential election campaign. But this time, it is said that Trump did not get such threats. Agency
