Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of Nepali Army, General Prabhu Ram Sharma is in the United States on an official goodwill visit from 26 June to 2 July 2022. He visited US Army War College in Pennsylvania on 28 June and US National Defense University in Washington, DC on 29 June and held meetings with the heads of the military institutions. He is scheduled to hold meetings with other senior US Defense and Army officials at the Pentagon on 30 June. During these meetings, he will exchange views on further strengthening military-to-military cooperation between Nepal and the United States.

“officials and representatives from various Embassies in Washington, DC were present in the reception.” General Sharma is leaving for New York on 30 June to hold official meetings with senior UN officials on matters related to strengthening cooperation between Nepal and the United Nations on peacekeeping operations.
