Kathmandu : Nepal has become the first runner-up in the first Blind Women’s T20 World Cup, losing to India.

In the final match held at Colombo of Sri Lanka today, India chased the 115-run victory target set by Nepal in 12 overs.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal had made 114 runs in 20 overs at the loss of five wickets.

India gathered 117 runs losing three wickets. India’s Phula Soren made 44 runs in 27 balls. Similarly, Sarita Ghimire of Nepal scored 35 runs in 38 balls. A plastic white ball with bearings inside is used in such type of cricket championship. Such type of ball helps batter to track the movement of the ball.

Nepal, India, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and America had participated in the championship. There are 11 players in this cricket match like other cricket match. Of them, four should be completely blind.
