ABC News to pay Trump $15 million in defamation suit

Kathmandu – America’s ABC News is going to pay 15 million dollars (about 2 billion Nepalese rupees) to Donald Trump, who was elected as the American president, in a defamation case. The channel has had to pay Trump money because of ABC News anchor George Stephanopolis.
During an interview on March 10 of this year, George said that Trump was “responsible for the rape”. ABC News will not only have to pay Trump damages for defamation but also publish an apology.

In addition, Trump will have to pay $1 million in legal fees. The amount has been agreed between ABC News and Trump to dismiss the case.
