Kathmandu. In the midst of the growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine has recently increased its attacks on the Russian border. About 11,000 people have been evacuated from the Krasnoyaruz district of Russia’s Belgorod region to safe places due to Ukraine’s increasingly aggressive activities, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Tuesday.
According to him, about one thousand of the displaced people are currently living in temporary housing centers.
“The evacuees of Krasnoyaruz district, who left their homes on Monday due to the deteriorating security situation, have been provided with minimum necessities, including food, and have been kept in a safe place,” said Gladkov.
At the same time, he expressed hope that the current situation would be improved soon and permission would be issued to the displaced to return home soon.
