California. American billionaire businessman Jeff Bezos has sold another 14 million shares of the online retail giant Amazon. The value of the shares sold is around 2 billion 40 million dollars. In the last 9 trading days, about 50 million shares of the company have been sold. Its value is said to be 8 and a half billion dollars.
In November, Bezos announced that he would sell up to 50 million shares of the company in the coming year. Last year, the company’s share price increased by 76 percent. Bezos is the company’s founder and executive chairman. He previously sold Amazon shares in 2021. He also donates shares from time to time.
Bezos moved from Miami to Seattle last year. He will save about 600 million dollars in taxes on the shares he sold. But federal taxes will have to be paid. Bezos is the largest shareholder of Amazon. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Bezos’ net worth is more than 1 trillion 90 billion dollars
