Kathmandu – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Bangladesh government have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop the country’s first ‘green data center’ under the public private partnership model.
Officials from relevant ministries and departments of the ADB and the Bangladesh government signed the MoU on Sunday.
The data center will comply with international standards to meet future demands.
“This initiative is an important step towards Bangladesh’s digital vision, integrating cutting-edge technology and supporting the country’s digital transformation,” said Yoon Jeong, Director of DB’s Bangladesh Mission.
“This project will promote private investment in the information technology sector and open the door for capital mobilization in digital technology.” The project will promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth and support the expansion of state-of-the-art digital infrastructure in Bangladesh.
