Kathmandu. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is going to give a cash prize of INR 125 million to the T20 World Cup winning Indian team.
BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has announced through social media that the winning team of the World Cup will be awarded a prize of 125 million Indian rupees. He praised the excellent performance of India throughout the tournament and congratulated all the players, coaches and support staff for this extraordinary achievement.
India, who defeated South Africa on Saturday and became the T-20 world champion, received a prize of 2.45 million dollars from the ICC. After the T-20 World Cup, India’s captain Rohit Sharma along with senior players Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja retired from T-20I.
