America. US President Joe Biden will submit a Supreme Court reform plan. The plan is expected to include help in setting term limits for judges and enforcing a code of conduct.
He is expected to advocate for a constitutional amendment to restrict immunity for the president and certain other officials. This is in response to the court’s July 1 decision. which states that Presidents cannot be impeached for official acts done while in office. Biden has been more vocal in his criticism of the Supreme Court and its decisions. This includes decisions made by a conservative majority to repeal federal abortion rights, among other top priorities of his administration.
Enacting term limits and a code of conduct for the Supreme Court would likely require new legislation, meaning the currently divided Congress is not expected to address the issue before the end of the year. Agency
