Blind World Cup Cricket: Nepal’s brilliant victory over Afghanistan

Kathmandu. Nepal has won its first victory in the Blind T20 World Cup Cricket Tournament. Nepal defeated Afghanistan by 108 runs in today’s match. Batting first, Nepal scored 228 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. But Afghanistan could only score 120 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Vice-captain Padam Bahadur Badaila and Naresh Chaudhary played half-centuries for Nepal.
Badaila scored 92 runs unbeaten in 51 balls and Chaudhary scored 72 runs unbeaten in 62 balls. Similarly, Bharat Thapa scored 21 and Sagar Lama scored four runs. Afghanistan’s bowlers gave Nepal 39 extra runs. Similarly, Afghanistan’s Abasin scored 52, Dwaran 21 and Sharafat 13 runs while batting against Nepal. For Nepal, Sunil Rana Magar took three wickets, while Bharat Thapa, Amish Guragain and Sunil Subedi Chhetri took one wicket each. Nepal will play its fourth match against South Africa on Tuesday. Earlier, Nepal lost to Sri Lanka in the first match and Bangladesh in the second match.
