The Bangladesh Nationalist Party today said its foreign policy would follow the principle of Bangladesh First if it returns to power through the upcoming national election. BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman unveiled the party manifesto, presenting a vision of an independent and self-respecting foreign policy focused on sovereignty, security and public welfare. The party said it would pursue global relations based on equality, fairness and mutual respect.
The manifesto highlights economic diplomacy, export diversification and expansion of trade with South America and Africa. It also prioritises labour and migration diplomacy, foreign investment, technology transfer and stronger strategic partnerships. BNP pledged to strengthen the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by expanding missions and improving diplomatic capacity.
