Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested three more individuals in connection with the 60 kg gold smuggling case
KATHMANDU : The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested three more individuals in connection with the 60 kg gold smuggling case.
Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Kuber Kadayat said Pushpa Joshi, the customs officer of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Customs Office, was arrested in connection with the gold smuggling case. Similarly, two non-gazetted first class officials Kamal Pariyar and Birendra Nepali were also arrested by the police on Saturday.
With this, the number of people arrested in connection with the 60 kg gold smuggling case has reached 30.
On July 19, the Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) seized the 60 kg gold that was brought from Hong Kong concealed in brake shoes of scooters after the smuggled gold had passed through the TIA customs.
