Kathmandu : Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the changed Congress has moved forward with a resolve to change the country.

Addressing the election mobilization core committee announcement ceremony organized by Nepali Congress Kathmandu Constituency No. 4 here today, he said that the Congress has changed to change the country. The Congress has moved forward with a new thinking and determination.

He said that efforts are being made to strengthen the cadres so that the trend of visiting the leader’s house to get party tickets will end in the coming days. The Congress however will not compromise with anyone on matters concerning democracy and social justice.
Stating that the common citizen’s desire is to adopt zero tolerance towards bad governance and corruption, he expressed his commitment to fulfill the desire of the citizens at large. Thapa said that the special general convention has put an end to the politics of factions and division within the party.

He said that the Nepali Congress will work to provide employment opportunities to the youth within the country. President Thapa highly respected the role played by the cadres of Kathmandu Constituency No. 4 and the general voters in taking him to the current height within the party.

The NC President said that he filed his candidacy from Sarlahi Constituency No. 4 to connect Madhesh with Kathmandu and understand the issues of Madhesh.
Congress candidate for Kathmandu Constituency No. 4, Sachin Timalsina, expressed his commitment to continue working for the development of Kathmandu Constituency No. 4.
