The promotions for Dhurandhar 2 officially kicked off on Tuesday as actor Ranveer Singh unveiled the first look poster of the much-anticipated sequel and revealed its official title. The film is titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, signalling a darker and more intense continuation of the spy thriller franchise.

Sharing the poster on Instagram, Ranveer revealed his look as Hamza, also known as Jaskirat, confirming that the teaser will be released later in the day. The actor posted the announcement across multiple languages, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, underlining the film’s pan-India appeal.

The striking poster shows Ranveer’s character standing in the rain, fists clenched, staring directly into the camera. Bathed in a deep red hue, the image reinforces the film’s violent and high-stakes tone. The title Dhurandhar: The Revenge appears boldly in the background. Captioning the post, Ranveer wrote, “Ab bigadne ka waqt aa gaya hai,” hinting at Hamza’s all-out assault against terror networks and the Baloch gang in the sequel.

The actor also confirmed key release details. The teaser will drop at 12:12 PM on Tuesday, while the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Akshaye Khanna’s Return Sparks Buzz
One of the biggest talking points from the announcement was Ranveer Singh tagging Akshaye Khanna while mentioning the cast. Akshaye played the antagonist Rehman Dakait in the first film, a character believed to have been killed in the climax.

His inclusion in the cast announcement has reignited speculation that Akshaye Khanna will return in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, possibly through flashback sequences or parallel timelines. Fans were quick to spot the detail, further amplifying excitement around the sequel.

About the Dhurandhar Franchise
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a high-octane spy thriller that released on December 5 and went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in Hindi cinema history. The film followed an Indian intelligence operative infiltrating Karachi’s criminal underworld to dismantle its links with terror organisations.

Alongside Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the franchise features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, all of whom are set to return in the sequel.

With a global box office collection exceeding ₹1,300 crore, Dhurandhar firmly established itself as a franchise, and expectations are sky-high for Dhurandhar: The Revenge as it gears up for its teaser launch later today.
